Consensys plans to lay off 7% while continuing to hire to drive profitability.

On July 22, according to reports, Joseph Rubin, co-founder of Ethereum, is planning to lay off 49 people from his software company Consensys, which accounts for about 7% of the total workforce.

A company spokesperson stated that this restructuring is aimed at enhancing overall profitability. Consensys recently acquired a startup with about 30 employees, who will continue to stay with the company. At the same time, the company still plans to continue hiring for other positions. Consensys's largest office location is in Brooklyn.
