Sui Liquid Staking Hacker Cup Finalist Projects Overview

After more than 40 days of registration and strict screening, the Sui liquid staking hackathon has completed the evaluation of all projects. The final shortlist has attracted widespread attention. Six teams from each of the two tracks successfully advanced to the Demo Day of the hackathon. Let's take a look at these outstanding shortlisted projects.

1. Aftermath Finance A one-stop decentralized trading platform built on Sui Move, offering CLOB settlement for spot, perpetual contracts, and options, CMMM for long-tail assets and indices, as well as built-in money market functionalities.

2. DegenHive Combining the innovative governance model of centralized liquidity DEX and HiveVerse NFT, dedicated to fully unleashing the potential of $SUI on the Sui network.

3. Haedal Protocol The liquid staking protocol built on Sui allows users to stake $SUI and receive haSUI as a reward, while also participating in DeFi activities to earn additional income.

4. Interest Protocol DeFi protocols that support swapping and lending allow liquidity providers to use LP tokens as collateral to borrow stablecoins like Sui Dollar, in order to offset impermanent loss.

5. SUISA A DeFi protocol built on Sui, where users can stake $SUI to obtain stSUI and also use stSUI to mint NFTs.

6. Volo The liquid staking solution on Sui, by providing voloSUI, helps users maximize the utility and Liquidity of SUI.

LST DeFi and Tool Track

1. Aftermath Finance Same as the above description.

2. Bucket Protocol The CDP protocol on Sui features non-custodial, immutable, and governance-free characteristics, enhancing capital efficiency and stabilizing token prices, allowing users to obtain the required tokens at zero interest by using $SUI, $BTC, $ETH, and LST as collateral.

3. Desig Provide a multi-signature solution applicable across the entire chain, compatible with all DApps on both EVM and non-EVM chains.

4. Kana Labs User-friendly applications for DeFi and GameFi, jointly building the web3 future.

5. Legato Provide fixed interest rate solutions for liquid staking assets and predict interest rate fluctuations on Sui. The project won first place at the Tokyo WebX Move Hackathon in July 2023.

6. Wisp Swap Decentralized trading and prediction markets on Sui feature an asymmetric concentrated liquidity DEX with automatically adjusted parameters, utilizing the Ve (3,3) economic design model to forecast decentralized markets.

Review Method

• The jury is selected from industry experts by the Sui Foundation and partners.
• Use preset scoring criteria, remove the highest and lowest scores, and then calculate the average score.
• The competition results will be announced on October 2.

This hackathon showcased the diversity and potential of innovative projects within the Sui ecosystem, covering multiple areas from liquid staking to decentralized trading. Participants demonstrated foresight and technical strength for the future development of the Sui network, making significant contributions to the advancement of blockchain technology.
