2023 Crypto Market Review and Outlook: Innovative Narratives and Outstanding Contributors
In 2023, the crypto market has experienced a significant recovery, with positive changes in asset value and market sentiment. This year, multiple innovative narratives such as the Bitcoin inscription craze, RWA tokenization, the DePIN revolution, and Bitcoin spot ETFs have unfolded, injecting new vitality into the industry.
Against this background, an organization held its annual selection event aimed at recognizing outstanding projects, teams, and individuals in the Web3 field over the past year. After a rigorous selection process, a total of 21 authoritative annual awards were granted, with 123 projects/companies and 10 individuals receiving recognition.

The annual application list covers eight major categories of awards, including innovative applications, DeFi, GameFi, SocialFi, RWA, DePIN, AI+Web3 integration, and the most popular NFTs. The selection criteria include data metrics such as user activity, trading volume, total locked value, governance token market capitalization, and team background.

In the DeFi sector, projects like EigenLayer, a certain DEX, JustLend, and Helix stood out. In the GameFi aspect, games such as Pixels, Matr1x Fire, BigTime, and Illuvium received recognition. In the SocialFi category, platforms like Farcaster, TaskOn, and Phaver performed exceptionally well.
In emerging fields such as RWA, DePIN, and AI+Web3 integration, a number of outstanding projects have also been recognized. In the NFT market, series like Weirdo Ghost Gang, Bitcoin Frogs, and Mocaverse are the most popular.
Public Chain Ecosystem Selection
Public chains serve as the infrastructure of the encryption world, playing a crucial role in promoting industry development. The selection activity evaluated five of the most vibrant public chains of the year based on indicators such as active user count, developer count, and network fundamentals: Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Sui, and Conflux.
At the same time, the most promising projects in the major public chain ecosystems were also selected. These include Merlin Chain and Stacks in the Bitcoin ecosystem, zkSync and EigenLayer in the Ethereum ecosystem, as well as outstanding projects in the Solana and Cosmos ecosystems.
