The Reserve Bank of New Zealand may lower the Intrerest Rate to 3%, and economists predict it could drop to 2.5% in the future.

[Golden Finance] Golden Finance reports that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand seems likely to further lower the official Intrerest Rate next week, with economists mostly focusing on the Central Bank's forecasts for the future. Sharon Zollner, chief economist at a certain bank, stated that a reduction of the official Intrerest Rate by 25 basis points to 3.00% seems to be a done deal. As weak high-frequency data increasingly manifest in hard economic data, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand may shift to a more dovish stance, ultimately lowering the official Intrerest Rate to 2.5%. However, she added that a sudden shift in that direction next week may be premature.
