[Coin World] Eclipse Labs, in collaboration with Celestia and RISC Zero, has launched an optimistic zero-knowledge data availability (ZK DA) challenge system aimed at dropping costs and enhancing scalability for high-throughput L2. The solution utilizes Celestia Blobstream to verify data and RISC Zero Steel to handle off-chain computations, with the sequencer only needing to submit 32 bytes of data. The challenger's cost is approximately 300,000 gas, enabling infinite data scalability. The system supports offline verification of Blobstream proofs, data indexing, and challenges for unavailable data, optimizing issues related to timing, liveness, and security. In terms of performance, the Bonsai cloud environment generates proofs in about 40 seconds, while locally it takes about 20 minutes, with an open-source release planned for the future.
