As one of the earliest Bitcoin participants in China, I started to follow and invest in Bitcoin in 2011. However, fate played a trick on me, and I exited the market before Bitcoin's value skyrocketed. Subsequently, I briefly ventured into other Crypto Assets and also made some profits.
Looking back, I once held a four-digit quantity of Bitcoin. If I had held it until now, its value might have reached the billion-level in RMB. But the reality is that I sold most of my holdings after the price of the coin surged several times. The only part I kept was a small portion that I didn't sell at the time because it was too small.
Ironically, this 'small change' that I once ignored now has a value close to 100 million RMB. This experience made me deeply realize the huge potential and volatility of the Crypto Assets market.
Based on years of market observation and personal experience, I have summarized a few core principles for investing in crypto assets:
First, investors should follow the irreversible market trends. Market trends are the most authentic reflections; we must respect the market and adjust our strategies in a timely manner, without going against the major trends.
Secondly, avoid frequent trading. The crypto assets market operates around the clock, but that doesn't mean we should trade constantly. Successful investing is more like a patient hunter, waiting for the best moment rather than striking frequently.
Finally, do not overly rely on technical indicators. All technical indicators have a certain degree of lag. For example, when the MACD indicator shows a buy signal, the coin price may have already risen for a while.
These lessons remind us that it is crucial to stay clear-headed and rational in the rapidly evolving Crypto Assets market. Although I missed out on significant wealth, these valuable experiences undoubtedly hold important guiding significance for future investment decisions.
