Azuki's anime project Animecoin will launch coin Airdrop this month, with over 50% of Tokens distributed to the community.
The Cryptocurrency project Animecoin supported by Ethereum Layer2 protocol Arbitrum and Non-fungible Token project Azuki is expected to launch $ANIME Token on Ethereum and Arbitrum within this month. In this regard, Animecoin has officially announced the Token economic model of $ANIME in the near future.
According to the official announcement, the total supply of $ANIME Token is 10 billion, of which 50.5% will be allocated to the community, with 37.5% of the tokens exclusively for the Azuki Non-fungible Token community, and 13% will be used for the so-called 'community cultivation plan'. These funds will be managed by Token holders through AnimeDAO to promote various community projects and activities.
The team behind Azuki will receive 7.44% of the Tokens, with a 3-year vesting period and a 1-year lock-up period; while Azuki employees, outsourcing partners, and consultants, as "early contributors," will share 15.62%, subject to the same unlocking conditions.
In addition, the Animecoin Foundation will receive 24.44% of the Tokens to promote the growth of the ecosystem, such as funding various grant programs and supporting the foundation's operations; the remaining 2% will be distributed to other partner communities, including Hyperliquid, Kaito AI, and Arbitrum.
According to the Animecoin Foundation, the initial circulating supply of $ANIME Token will reach 7.69 billion coins.
Build a blockchain ecosystem dedicated to anime culture
Animecoin is a collaborative project initiated by the Arbitrum Foundation, Azuki, and the Weeb3 Foundation, with the goal of establishing a blockchain ecosystem dedicated to promoting the development of anime culture.
Azuki founder Alex Xu (pseudonym Zagabond) pointed out last June that the current anime culture experience is too fragmented and lacks a unified platform to integrate resources.
The Animecoin Foundation stated in its announcement that $ANIME is a 'cultural Token' with the mission of transforming the passion of over 1 billion anime fans worldwide into a creative network owned collectively by the community.
