Hunter, the founder of RootData: Leading the Web3 asset analysis revolution with transparent data.

Web3 Asset Data Expert Hunter: Illuminating the Industry with Transparent Data

Hunter is an experienced Web3 practitioner who founded two well-known platforms: Chain Hunter and RootData. Chain Hunter is a Web3 media company that has been established for nearly seven years and has significant influence in the Chinese-speaking region. RootData, on the other hand, is a Web3 asset data platform that provides users with a one-stop query service for project, organization, and individual information, currently serving over 2 million users.

Hunter shared that the entrepreneurial inspiration for RootData comes from addressing the issue of information asymmetry. He stated that the amount of information in Web3 is vast but chaotic, making it difficult for ordinary users to quickly find valuable data. The goal of RootData is to reduce the cost of information acquisition by integrating on-chain and off-chain data, providing users with a one-stop query experience.

Regarding the nature of asset data, Hunter believes it is a transformation process from "data to information." RootData organizes raw on-chain data and decentralized off-chain information into readable information, helping users better understand and make decisions. For entrepreneurs, it can be used to seek investments and research competitors; for investors, it helps to avoid pitfalls and increase efficiency.

To ensure data accuracy, RootData has implemented measures such as data traceability, user feedback, and regular validation. Hunter admitted that maintaining off-chain data is a long-term challenge due to the rapid changes in Web3.

When discussing the differences with competitors, Hunter stated that RootData focuses on "underwater data" not covered by platforms like CMC, such as investment and financing, team background, and other information. In addition, RootData has also launched innovative features like tagged filtering and the X index.

For new users, RootData offers features such as project overviews and pitfall reminders to help them quickly understand projects and market dynamics. Hunter advises newcomers to practice more and combine the use of Chain Catcher and RootData to gradually integrate into the Web3 world.

Looking to the future, RootData is exploring derivative businesses such as OTC trading matching and points systems. Hunter stated that there may be further services to meet trading demands in the future, but a compliant path needs to be found.

For Web3 entrepreneurs, Hunter provides three pieces of advice: focus on profitability, beware of false demand, and persist in doing the right thing. He emphasizes the importance of seizing real demand just like in Web2 entrepreneurship, and not treating token issuance as the only way out.

Finally, Hunter shared his life insight: "Do the right thing, be self-aware." He stated that he was influenced by Wang Yangming and Duan Yongping, insisting on doing what he believes is right in his heart, even if there are no short-term returns. This is also the original intention of RootData to uphold transparency and rationality.
