Arbitrum new approval of 45.815 million ARB long-term incentive plan to support ecological development
Arbitrum Long-term Incentive Pilot Program Approved, 45.815 million ARB Will Be Used for Ecological Incentives
Recently, the Arbitrum community voted on a long-term incentive pilot program. The final result showed that the plan to allocate 45.815 million ARB won with a support rate of 57.49%. Among these, 45 million ARB will be used for ecological incentives, and 815,000 ARB will be used to subsidize personnel participating in various tasks.
Previously, Arbitrum launched a short-term incentive program (STIP), which achieved significant results. Data shows that various protocols participating in STIP have seen substantial growth in metrics such as daily active users, TVL, and trading volume. For example, DEX projects experienced a 118.72% increase in daily active users, a 49.24% growth in TVL, and an explosive increase of 333.28% in trading volume.
The new pilot program has made several improvements based on the STIP. First, the use of ARB incentives will be more flexible, encouraging the protocol to explore diverse incentive schemes. Secondly, the introduction of committee and application advisor roles aims to enhance the efficiency of project selection and feedback. Additionally, the entire application process has been standardized, divided into five stages: application, feedback, selection, voting, and incentives, taking approximately 18 weeks to complete.
Specifically, the application period and feedback period are each 2 weeks, the screening period and voting period are each 1 week, and the final incentive period is 12 weeks. Approved agreements will receive allocated ARB tokens every two weeks through a certain liquidity management platform.
In addition to the 45 million ARB used for ecological incentives, 815,000 ARB will also be allocated to the members involved in the work, including committee members, application consultants, researchers, data analysis providers, etc. Among them, the total research bounty is 200,000 ARB, aimed at helping the DAO draw meaningful conclusions from the incentive program.
It is worth noting that although the community vote has approved the proposal, a subsequent on-chain vote is still required to finally confirm the allocation of funds. Overall, the implementation of this long-term incentive pilot program is expected to bring a new round of development opportunities to the Arbitrum ecosystem.
